![]() We imagine that the apartment would be comfortable in warmer weather, too, as it overlooks interior courtyards on either side for cross-ventilation. The owner also was very responsive and answered our questions promptly, the agent who met us was very flexible and helpful and arranged transportation for us at the end of our stay. Hot water was plentiful, the appliances all worked well (oven, cooktop, dishwasher, clothes washer), the full-size refrigerator/freezer was a plus compared to the usual small under the counter units, and the heating system worked fine the few times we needed it. The queen-size bed was very comfortable, the sheets and towels were good quality, we liked the bathtub-shower combination instead of just a shower, and the wifi worked great. It was comfortable, very quiet yet well located and convenient for walking everywhere, close to public transportation, the kitchen was well-equipped with lo cal shopping right around the corner and larger Dia and Carrefour grocery stores nearby for easy self-catering, the area was not so touristy like on the Gran Via or Sol so we felt a little like locals, and the cost was very reasonable. My husband and I rented this apartment for 8 nights over our Christmas vacation and won't hesitate to do so again on a future visit to Madrid. We really loved everything about this apartment and would not change a thing. If we return to Madrid, we would definitely stay in this apartment again. We loved our 5-day stay in this apartment. We even took photos of the art and furniture as it was so wonderful. We felt very comfortable entertaining an old friend in this lovely apartment. The apartment is beautifully decorated with interesting art and modern furniture. There were extra towels, sheets, and blankets. The second bathroom has a tub and a washing machine. The second bedroom has a loft bed, a single futon, and a desk and chair. The master bedroom has a very comfortable bed as well as closet space, dresser and extra drawers. The kitchen is equipped with a stove-top, oven, large refrigerator, microwave, utensils and cooking necessities such as spices, olive oil, vinegar, and lots of dishes, glassware, napkins, etc. The living room has a sofa bed, chairs, TV and many CDs. Both the building and the apartment were very clean. The apartment is light, airy and spacious. He had helpful suggestions and even made restaurant reservations for us as well as securing a taxi for our very early ride to the airport. We really enjoyed talking to him, learning more about Spain and Madrid. It is in a small, elegant apartment with an elevator. It is located in central Madrid, near restaurants, shops, a paseo, and the metro. It had everything we could possibly desire for our 5 days in Madrid. “Truly modern and elegant apartment in a quiet, upscale, safe nei” This apartment was a treat. ![]()
